Privacy Policy

Scope. This policy applies to the Muslims Hub mobile application for iOS and Android, and to nothing else. It is a product policy, not a company-wide one — other Arivaatral products publish their own policies at their own product pages.
The short version. Muslims Hub has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs. Everything you create in the app — bookmarks, prayer logs, Zakat figures, tasbih counts — stays on your device. A few features use the network: prayer times, recitation and adhan audio, and the masjid directory, which is the one part served by Arivaatral's own server. Each is described below in full.
1. Who we are
Muslims Hub is developed and published by Arivaatral, an independent software studio based in Tamil Nadu, India. Arivaatral is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. You can reach us at althafrockss@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect no personal information. There is no account to create, no login, no registration and no profile. We have no analytics pipeline, no crash-reporting service and no way to identify an individual user. We do not know how many people use the app, which features they open, or where they are.
The only data that reaches a server we run is a masjid directory request (see section 5). Like any web server, ours keeps a standard access log of each request — the IP address, the time and the address requested — for up to 14 days, to keep the service running and secure. It is then deleted automatically. We do not combine it with anything else or use it to identify anyone.
3. Data stored on your device
The app stores the following locally, on your device only. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- Bookmarked ayahs and your last reading position
- Reading preferences — script, typeface, font size, line spacing, theme, translation and transliteration settings
- Prayer and fasting logs you record, and your daily timeline activities
- Khatm (Quran completion) progress
- Tasbih sets and counts
- Zakat calculation inputs, asset inventory and calculation history
- Any masjid timetable you import or follow from the masjid directory
- Recitation audio you choose to download for offline playback, and adhan sounds you choose
This data is included in your device's own backup if you have one enabled (iCloud on iOS, Google backup on Android). Those backups are handled by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies, not ours. Deleting the app removes all of this data from your device.
4. Location
With your permission, the app uses your device location for two purposes: calculating prayer times for where you are, and pointing the Qibla compass toward the Kaaba.
The Qibla calculation happens entirely on your device. Prayer-time calculation does not: your approximate latitude and longitude, rounded to about 1 km, are sent to the Aladhan API (aladhan.com), a public prayer-times service, which returns the times for that coordinate and date. That request contains only the rounded coordinates, the date and your chosen calculation method. It carries no name, no device identifier, no advertising ID and nothing else that could identify you, and Arivaatral is not a party to it — the request goes from your device straight to Aladhan. The returned times are cached on your device so the same request is not repeated.
You can decline. If you deny location permission, the app tells you what it needs and keeps working. You can import a masjid timetable and use the app's prayer features with no location access at all. Every other part of the app — Quran, duas, calendar, tasbih, Zakat, Arabic lessons — is unaffected.
In App Store terms, we declare Coarse Location as collected for App Functionality only, not linked to your identity, and not used for tracking.
5. Masjid directory
You can search a directory of masjids and follow one to use its prayer and jamaat times. The directory is run by Arivaatral at mh.arivaatral.com. When you use it, the app sends only what you typed in the search box (and a country, if you chose one), and the ID of a masjid you open or follow, so it can fetch that masjid's latest timetable. It sends no location, no name, no device identifier and no account, because there is none. Which masjid you follow is stored on your device, not on our server.
6. Permissions
Muslims Hub does not use the microphone, camera, contacts or photos. Apart from location (section 4), it asks only for notifications and, on Android, permission to schedule exact alarms, so that adhan reminders sound at the right time. Both are optional.

That is the complete list. No other outbound request is made by the app. None of these requests carries a name, an account, a device identifier or an advertising ID.
8. Third-party SDKs
There are none. Muslims Hub ships with no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no attribution or measurement SDK, no crash reporter and no social login. The app's privacy manifest, embedded in the shipped binary and verifiable by Apple, declares no tracking and no tracking domains.
9. Children
The app is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either. There is no user-generated content, no messaging and no way for users to contact one another.
10. Your rights
Rights such as access, correction, deletion and portability apply to data a company holds about you. We hold no personal data about you; the only thing on our server is the short-lived access log described in section 2, which expires on its own after 14 days. If you want it removed sooner, email us. The data the app creates is entirely in your hands: you can clear it inside the app, or remove all of it by deleting the app.
11. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent, trade or share user data. No data is transferred to advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material — for example if a future version of the app started collecting something — we will say so clearly in the app's release notes rather than quietly editing this page. This policy is versioned alongside the app: changes here apply to Muslims Hub only and have no bearing on any other Arivaatral product.
